Rachel Moon Lic Ac, MBAcC, Dip Tn
My acupuncture journey started in 2009 when I had treatment for fertility problems. The results were astounding and my interest was sparked; I’ve had treatment ever since to keep me on top form.
As a result I became very interested in and inspired by Chinese Medicine and now that I can use it to help others, I am even more passionate about it. I graduated from the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, where I completed a four year degree in Acupuncture.
I practice a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture and often incorporate Tuina massage within a treatment, especially when dealing with musculo-skeletal problems and pain. There is nothing more satisfying than watching a patient leave the clinic free of pain, or in considerably less pain than when they entered the room an hour earlier!
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council I abide by their strict codes of conduct and their program of continued professional development, meaning I am kept up to date with current teachings and research. Since graduating I have undertaken further training in:
“Rachel really helped me when I was very stressed and getting lots of headaches. The treatments have helped me so much; I feel like new when I’ve seen Rachel.” Mrs FW.
“I had a long term shoulder pain which Rachel treated with tuina massage and acupuncture. The results were amazing – after just one treatment it felt almost perfect. I’ve continued to see Rachel for various different reasons and I always feel so much calmer and ready to cope with a busy life.” Mrs CW.
“Rachel treated me for low back pain and sciatica. All I can say is wow, after a few treatments I could complete a round of golf without any pain at all, which is a first. Thank you, Rachel!” Mr S.
“I enjoyed the treatment itself, I found it very relaxing and felt a lot clearer in my mind and more energised and focused afterwards.” Mrs P.
“Rachel has a very professional approach and her caring personality really shines through too.” Mrs C.
“At the first sign of an ache, pain or just not feeling tip top I do not hesitate to contact her. She makes me feel like me again.” Mrs TC.
“I struggled for many weeks with really bad pain from a trapped nerve in my neck and shoulder. Neither NHS physio nor private osteopath could sort it. Then I found Rachel. Five treatment sessions later and I am entirely pain free. Two things you should know:
1. Acupuncture is in my experience (as a wimp) absolutely painless; and
2. Rachel is very experienced and extremely knowledgeable, and explains to you everything she is doing and why throughout the treatment.
I cannot recommend her highly enough.” PH.
“After spending nearly a year with severe back and leg pain, being unable to sleep, and walking with a limp, taking painkillers and having physio, I decided to try acupuncture. After the first session with Rachel I had my first good nights sleep in months. After three more sessions I am now free from pain in the daytime and no longer limping, I only have slight pain at night.
I can't thank Rachel enough. Amazing result!” AR.
“I've got TMJ and my first time with the treatment the pain almost immediately went away! I've had four sessions ever since. Rachel is very caring and knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend her to anyone.” HP.
